Alistair Hulett – fundraiser in Sydney for Marxism 2010

If anyone’s thinking of a weekend in Sydney….

“Traditions of resistance” – on Saturday 24 October Alistair Hulett will present a night of songs & stories from Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger and other radical folk singers!

Alistair Hulett was born in Glasgow and discovered traditional music in his early teens. He has performed at Marxism in the UK, the Sidmouth Festival & has even been nominated for an Aria.

“Hulett writes in a terse, reportage style, the combination of words and voice transporting listeners immediately to Australia’s labour struggles, post-miners’-strike Grimethorpe or Red Clydeside”The Herald.
