Refugees, racism, reaction, war – Saturday’s socialist speak out

Gillard’s racist regional processing centre dominates the news.  Another Australian soldier has been killed in Afghanistan.  Measures to deal with climate change are still years, if not decades away. Refugees are welcome here

If a regional processing centre for refugees is such a good idea, why not set it up in Australia? With safeguards for refugees  like community housing rather than locking people up.
