Free jailed workers and all political prisoners in Iran! End executions!
Demonstrate 12 Pm Thursday Parliament House NSW
The Islamic Republic of Iran is speeding up the rate of execution, with tens of prisoners executed over the past few weeks alone. There are 3000 people of death row.
Given economic crisis and widespread poverty, the Iranian regime has started a new wave of executions and has increased all forms of persecution of trade union leaders, aiming to instil fear and stop mass protests.
In addition the regime is using alleged “drug trafficking” as a pretext for the recent executions of those who oppose it – including the political prisoners Satar Beheshti, a dissident blogger, and Jamil Souaidi.
Nasrin Sotoudeh, a human rights lawyer, is currently on hunger strike in protest at the conditions of imprisonment of political prisoners.

And if any country (like the USA) were to ever be foolish enough to apply military action against the Iranian government, you would condemn it completely!
I hope the Iranian government heeds the demonstrations, but I doubt it. The Ahmajinedad government is a typical tyrannical Islamic regime – like the Taliban. I despair for the Iranians – and the Syrians! And the latest developments in Egypt shows us what happens even when there is a successful ‘revolution’.
It is sad to think how these Muslim countries have degenerated into often backward countries given that this part of the world was the world leader in the sciences, medicine, arts and literature at a time when Europe was still in the Dark Ages.
