Time for a House Un-Australian Activities Committee?
Tony Abbott thinks the Australian Broadcasting Corporation is Un-Australian. I am looking forward to his government setting up the House Un-Australian Activities Committee. (1)

Send Barnaby to Indonesia
It is a pity that Barnaby Joyce, a man of tact, diplomacy, nuance and subtlety, isn’t going to Indonesia to fix things up. I know I am disappointed that Barnaby is missing out on this great opportunity, and I am sure the Indonesians feel the same way. [Sarcasm alert.] (0)

The Abbott government’s bounce in the polls

Death cult. Dealth cult. Death cult. War. War. War. Six Australian flags. 8 Australian flags. 12 Australian flags?

And to come we will have Gallipoli. Expect to hear much much more of ANZAC, ANZAC, ANZAC.

Given Labor’s bipartisanship (read capitulation to Abbott’s rabid jingoism, his warmongering and his cult of fear) as well as its neoliberalism, my guess is that the Liberals and the National Party will be ahead in the polls by about mid April.

it doesn’t take much to be ahead in the polls, Shorten hasn’t suggested one idea on how to improve the economy.

I’m all for a strong opposition who will suggest alternative strategies, but this is lacking at the moment.

Any pollie willing to announce good policy and be able to explain it to the masses, will win the popularity contest.

I bet NSW Liberal politicians are behind the pressure to remove Tony Abbott as leader. With a state election due on 28 March, he is sure to assist in kneecapping the government, just as he did in Queensland.

Today I heard he was sending 300 additional troops to Iraq, claiming they would be training the Iraqi army. I’m sure an idea like that will be going down like a lead balloon.
