The real enemy is not workers letting their hair down for the Melbourne Cup. The real enemy is the government locking up innocent people on Nauru and Manus Island and attempting to ban refugees from ever coming to Australia. The real enemy is the bosses whose lack of safety concerns kills thousands of workers a year at work, or who underpay us or cut our wages or sack us.
Raise a glass to the Melbourne Cup. Let’s work together to help create a society where every day is a holiday and a celebration, free from exploitation and alienation.
