In the warped world view of the Canberra Greens building an environmentally friendly EV network on the bones of the Palestinians is somehow ethical.
I look forward to the Greens leading a boycott against Better Place in Canberra.
Or are the Greens hypocrites where environmental concerns trump ethical investments every time?

Here in Canberra one of the most left wing Labor Governments has shown its true nature by attacking its workers. That is Labor’s role. And the Greens? They have traded away principles for power in their support of Labor’s attacks on workers.

Here in Canberra local Labor Party Education Minister Andrew Barr has threatened teachers who impose any NAPLAN test bans with the loss of four hours pay under Rudd’s workchoices law, the Fair Work Act. Can somebody explain to me again what exactly the difference is between Labor and the Liberals? The Australian Education Union’s response does [...]

The minority Canberra Labor Government will freeze public service recruitment in response to an $85 million cut in GST revenue. It will not tax the rich; it won’t cut grants and subsidies to business; it won’t reduce its spending on the likes of Al Grassby statues. Instead it will attack its workforce. Left Labor Treasurer Katy [...]

Here in the Australian Capital Territory the Labor Party (in minority Government) supported a Greens’ Bill giving legal recognition to same sex unions which passed just under 2 weeks ago. Federally the homophobic and anti-equal rights Rudd Labor Government will suggest changes to the Act which effectively gut it. The local Catholic archbishop weighed in [...]

Yesterday my local Canberra legislature made same sex civil partnership ceremonies in the Australian Capital Territory legally binding. This is not marriage equality but it is a step in that direction.
Same sex marriage for Canberra?

The only way to end the political vilification of gays and lesbians and win true equality is to mobilise thousands on the streets and win trade unions to the campaign for same sex marriage.
Canberra Labor – the political gay bashing continues

The ACT minority Labor Government is about to reject a Greens motion to legalise same sex marriage. They are going to vote against their own policy – a policy they took to the last election – because they don’t want to upset Kevin Rudd and the other reactionaries. CPSU affiliation to Canberra Labor has proved [...]

There are 1500 homeless every night in Canberra. At the same time there are about 1500 vacant hotel and motel rooms. Why not mandate those empty rooms for the homeless?
