Labor have sunk to a new low, ignoring all opposition in order to push through with this barbaric refugee policy. The Refugee Action Collective calls on those ALP members who voted against Labor policy in caucus to cross the floor and vote against any legislation that legalises offshore processing.

Labor’s neoliberalism is a shit sandwich. It is not the leader selling us the shit sandwich who is the problem. It is the shit sandwich.

All this ongoing Labor Party rightward shift has done is make Tony Abbott, the man of reaction, and his policies, look reasonable. Every ALP attempt to wedge the Liberals with Labor racism or Labor homophobia or Labor neoliberal economic policy further legitimises Abbott and the Coalition.

Social democracy and capital are caught in the grip of generalised falling profit rates. Julia Gillard is its logic.
Neoliberalism’s snake oil sales people

Support for Labor Prime Minister Julia Gillard has plummted. Deposed PM Kevin Rudd is now more popular than her. So who’s turn is it this week to be Labor Party Prime Minister? Maybe it is the party’s embrace of neoliberalism, its capitulation to big business, its attacks on workers that are the real problems, not [...]
