There are 4000 refugees in Indonesia. Instead of letting them rot there for many years or risk a dangerous sea journey, we could bring them here safely for processing while they are in the community.
A QANTAS jet holds say 500 people. The Gillard labor Government could charter 8 of them to bring the refugees in Indonesia to Australia. That would save them from the risk of drowning at sea in seeking asylum here.
The time for parliamentary pussyfooting is over, Greens. Challenge this Government head on and stop the Malaysian solution with real action inside and outside Parliament.

I am not sure if the refugees we send will be part of this [slave trade - JP] but they are very open to being exploited in a very corrupt country. I think the Labor government are aware this happens but will ignore anything so it suits their purpose. LNP are just as guilty. They are all politicians so they can’t be trusted.
