Send Barnaby to Indonesia
It is a pity that Barnaby Joyce, a man of tact, diplomacy, nuance and subtlety, isn’t going to Indonesia to fix things up. I know I am disappointed that Barnaby is missing out on this great opportunity, and I am sure the Indonesians feel the same way. [Sarcasm alert.] (0)

The Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement

Haven’t heard about the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, a neoliberal and imperialist wet dream? Not surprising since it is being negotiated in secret and Abbott will try to spring it on us soon enough. I have written about it in the next Red Flag, due out on Wednesday. Subscribe now. And yes, we have digital subscriptions too.

Something is lurking in the shadow’s alright, some call it the endgame of globalisation which is making elected governments permanently accountable to these non voting, fictitional but legal identities called corporations.
Governments have to be able to hold corporations accountable, to initiate proceedings to make government accountable to corporations, is simply the wrong way round, that is why I feel that the entire process is not in the benefit of any nation or it’s electorate, the only beneficiaries are the TPP corporations.

The TPP is nothing but a succession of silent coup d’ etat’s , the endgame of globalisation.
Brought to the world by the very same nation that has been harvesting megadata, while conducting secretive trade talks, it’s rather suspicious that no one has been pulled out of these very same trade deals due to the spying done alone.
Even NAFTA & CAFTA and the XL pipeline were fast tracked, and very soon the US will have answer if Obama will receive the fast track approval from congress, many hope not, nothing worse than a nation becoming accountable to over 600 corporations…
