Labor Senator Sue Lines bagged for telling the truth about Abbott’s fear-mongering

Labor senator Sue Lines stated the obvious.  Tony Abbott is using national security (Iraq, Australian jihadists, beefed up numbers of border guards, ‘Team Australia’)  to detract attention away from the Government’s unfair pro-rich Budget.  She told Fairfax media that the government was ‘just using this as a shield to try and deflect from the awful mess they’re in with their budget.’

You can’t make the government’s responses up. Lines was, according to Abbott, politicising national security. The next Liberal Party Prime Minister, Scott Morison, called her a muppet and said she should leave national security to ‘the adults.’  (I suspect, in light of the adults comment he might have called her a moppet and has been misreported. Either way, Lines is neither a child nor a fool. She is spot on.

The fact that Opposition ‘leader’ Bill Shorten got stuck into her in a private meeting just shows how pathetic Labor are.  According to The Australian:

Mr Shorten said he had spoken with Senator Lines about the comments but would not go into details of the conversation.

“I’m not going to get into politics here.

“I and Labor recognise that national security is a matter which goes above day to day politics,” he told reporters in Canberra.

Yes Bill, that’s telling them. The Liberals politicise the subject and you kowtow to them. You have fallen for the three card trick. You are making Abbott and co look good, even possibly re-electable.

The best answer to this fear-mongering comes from Red Flag, the newspaper of Socialist Alternative.

I certainly objected to Scott Morrison calling a fellow parliamentarian a “muppet”. I find this to be very insulting indeed.

Tony Abbott definitely knows how to ramp up racism and religionism to improve his approval rating. But I don’t think he is succeeding in covering up his monumentally unpalatable budget.

I haven’t met anyone who agrees with depriving unemployed people of income support, while giving big handouts to women having babies. Anyone would think women were geese laying golden eggs.

Come to think of it, they will be laying golden eggs for capitalists. The Paid Parental Leave Scheme will take large amounts of money out of government coffers, while capitalists continue to be allowed to avoid taxation.

This is further proof of the UN’s aim to disempower individual governments and allow capitalists to rule globally.

What has the UN got to do with it? This is not some grand UN conspiracy.

The UN has a very great deal to do with it. I think most people understand that once the Australian government signed over 7000 international agreements, the UN was in charge of whatever happened.

The term “conspiracy theorist” was coined to shut down people’s thinking, so no one would listen to anyone expressing a view that isn’t approved by the duopoly of politicians who are the marionettes of the UN.

One day on national television, the UN was saying Australia had a AAA credit rating.

The very next day the UN was supporting Joe Hockey’s idea to kneecap the welfare system, which was also supported by Wayne Swan prior to the 2013 federal election.

I think there are very clear connections between the UN, the superannuation system, global capitalists, the Green religion, EUs, global flattening and the global redistribution of populations and wealth.

I think Sue Lines’ comments were wrong. I think the western nations are gearing up for another warmongering apocalypse in the Middle East, Russia and the Baltic states.

Then hey presto, another financially flagging economic union will emerge.

In today’s news, even the comparatively strong German economy is weakening.
