Telling the truth about scabs costs a union $200,000

The Maritime Union of Australia was fined $200000 for this poster among other things quoting Jack London telling the truth about scabs. Freedom of Speech Commissioner where are you? Or do you only defend rich white men?
The alternative might be to refuse to pay the fine and close the ports if the state takes any enforcement action.

Sorry Mike, but if you think that Labor or Greens will do anything about this, you are having a pipe dream, as they are on the side of corporates.
I was illegally fired from a federal government department by a Labor government nearly 30 years ago, when I was carrying a workplace injury incurred in the job. When my union leader went into bat for me, she was completely kneecapped by a Personnel Section filled with union haters.
Anti-strike laws definitely need to go and all workers need to learn the meaning of solidarity, and then fight tooth and nail for their rights.

It says in the article the posters named 5 employees? Are the MUA employing Eausu, Judas Iscariot and Benedict Arnold now?
Or is there another poster doing the rounds, and the article not being entirely accurate?

We need to corner elected Labor and Green members to coalesce on axing anti-union, anti-strike laws. Are we mere wage-slaves?
