Me in Independent Australia on the GST

If everything is on the table, rather than raising the GST to 15% and further increasing inequality, Malcolm Turnbull has a range of other options to help resolve Australia’s current fiscal imbalance, writes John Passant in Independent Australia.

Yes, you made many good points, John.

However the fact remains that most decisions made by Labor and Coalition governments support emptying government coffers while forcing most of everyone’s money into the global corporate sector (banks). This is why I am opposed to superannuation.

Those of us who oppose the government’s financial attacks on the poor in order to keep bankers happy are blocked from contributing to a blog moderated by a major Brisbane newspaper. For some time, I wondered why everyone had ceased coming up with even a negative response. Then one day I logged out and came back onto the site, and realised that my contributions were only being made visible to me.

Those who think we are living in a democracy need to get a reality check.

I am also very upset that every time Bob Katter’s name is mentioned in the media, journalists seem to have been instructed to laugh in order to encourage everyone to discredit him.

A recent ABC program which discussed our huge beef exports failed to highlight the comparatively poor return to Australian graziers, but did reveal the massive impost on Australian consumers at the checkout.

It is quite off putting to being a title with ‘me….me…’..also see the entry below on ‘Matilda’. What is happening to you?

What would you suggest. I? Writing about myself in the third person in the headline?

Just put “Here I am….etc” next time. That might silence the nitpicking critics.
