Send Barnaby to Indonesia
It is a pity that Barnaby Joyce, a man of tact, diplomacy, nuance and subtlety, isn’t going to Indonesia to fix things up. I know I am disappointed that Barnaby is missing out on this great opportunity, and I am sure the Indonesians feel the same way. [Sarcasm alert.] (0)

Australia’s economy goes backwards

Australia’s GDP went backwards 0.5% in the last quarter.

Prepare for an onslaught of propaganda and action about cutting back spending on poor people, workers etc etc. The problem, as I tried to argue in this article in Independent Australia, is not policies per se, but capitalism itself. As Marx argued, there is a systemic tendency in capitalism for the rate of profit to fall.

We will also hear a lot of bullshit about supporting the Turnbull government in its attacks on the working class and the poor (laughingly labelled the national Economic Plan for jobs and growth). No doubt we will hear how cutting company tax rates is now even more important.

As a backhand recognition of this, Treasurer Scott Morrison is right now highlighting the decline in business investment as the main reason for the fall in GDP. This occurs because the capitalists have even less faith in getting an adequate return.

The developed Western economies’ decline in profit rates might be flowing through to Australia via China. All actions of government in this context are basically about restoring profit rates for the bosses, which means attacking our wages, the social wage, taxes on business, social welfare spending …

John we are in a whole new paradigm.Robotics in the next few years will replace many of our jobs like computers have done in the last 20 yrs.
With private Bankers creating our debt from nothing thus owning the soul of our worth and creativity, we have to be united in our struggle to be free.

The way to freedom is economic co-operatives that do not have outside financial or share market corruption. The membership by definition should be skills and intellect ,not money. These co-operatives can then buy new technology in Robotics for their lifestyles and not for the corrupt banking parasites. You and I know this present system is about to collapse but there is a better way beyond big Govt/Bankster solutions that are our present oppressors.
