Send Barnaby to Indonesia
It is a pity that Barnaby Joyce, a man of tact, diplomacy, nuance and subtlety, isn’t going to Indonesia to fix things up. I know I am disappointed that Barnaby is missing out on this great opportunity, and I am sure the Indonesians feel the same way. [Sarcasm alert.] (0)

Sing with me in the rain

Sing with me in the rain

I shall stand in the rain
And yell at the clouds
Loudly, aloud
Allowed in old age
The place where rage
Grows and knows,
Knows what?

Not much
Hence the rage
And writing on a page
The words of anger
Of danger that haunts
Our meaning
There is no feeling
No kiss

That is this
And still it rains
Will the government do nothing?
But that is the point
Of this government
Of terrorists and boats
There is no hope
But the proles

I grow old
My short trousers roll
Over my tummy
Not funny
Another’s reasoned rage
And mine too

And now the sun has cooled
Making fools of us
Nothing but the plus
Added to our knowledge
I will retire
And tax my writing
In a land where the rain
Speaks French

Or where steel men
Turn coke around
And the old man falls
Without telling me
The shouting stops
We will be free
Of bitterness

Maintain our rage
In our age
The age of anger
Needed anger
Against a world so wrong
I will sing my songs
Against and for
Sing with me
Sing with me
In the rain
