Send Barnaby to Indonesia
It is a pity that Barnaby Joyce, a man of tact, diplomacy, nuance and subtlety, isn’t going to Indonesia to fix things up. I know I am disappointed that Barnaby is missing out on this great opportunity, and I am sure the Indonesians feel the same way. [Sarcasm alert.] (0)

One Nation and the potential for fascism in Australia

(Source: Jews against fascism on Facebook.)

One Nation employs conspiracy theories to create divisions. This may help fuel the rise of fascism in Australia, I write in Independent Australia.

We already have fascism in the West. Fasism by definition is the Corporate control of our Govts. Bankers create from nothing as debt all the money for our Govts and business to function. Note that both sides of Parliament and the Greens do not want a banking enquiry. Andrew Wilkie has the courage to take them on with his new bill for a banking code of conduct. One Nation has a policy for a new Govt Bank but let Rod Culleton hang out to dry with his dispute with the criminal banks.

We do not have fascism in the West. There are still elections. There are no concentration camps putting unionists and others in jail and no mass movements of right wing thugs. The big banks yield lots of power, but so do the miners and other sections of the ruling class. The Greens and ALP have moved for a parliamentary enquiry into the banks from memory, and this is a manouevre to wedge the government which opposes both an enquiry and a royal commission. Labor went to the last election promising a royal commission. Rod Culleton was ineligible under the constitution to run and hence sit as a Senator. He like many of the One Nation elected officials is a populist right wing fruit cake.

The media is owned by our corporate masters. They determine who the candidates are and what parties dominate. Why do all parties refuse to pass Glass Steagall which will protect bank deposits? Our elections are a farce and the candidates/ parties are chosen by our media.
