Send Barnaby to Indonesia
It is a pity that Barnaby Joyce, a man of tact, diplomacy, nuance and subtlety, isn’t going to Indonesia to fix things up. I know I am disappointed that Barnaby is missing out on this great opportunity, and I am sure the Indonesians feel the same way. [Sarcasm alert.] (0)

En Passant is one of the most left wing blogs in Australia. Commenting intelligently on issues that arise in Australian and international politics from a revolutionary perspective, it aims to provoke debate and discussion among more left wing and socialist readers and activists. For public servants, criticising the Abbott government will soon be verboten – except here

It is time to stand up for freedom of expression, real free speech. Public servants work for the government as a wage slave, not as a slave. The government doesn’t own you out of hours. Post your criticisms of the government here on this blog on any relevant article.

You will get plenty of opportunities. I write about this rotten-to-the-core Abbott Liberal government or their mirror image, the do-nothing neoliberal Labor Opposition, almost every day.

The year En Passant

Last year there were over 97000 page visits on my blog. There were over 56000 visits from 31000 visitors. I hope that this year we improve on the figures. The resistance to economic and political neoliberalism around the globe gives me hope that the ideas of socialism and Marxism will reach an even wider and eager audience in 2012 and that the year becomes a turning point in the struggle for human liberation.

My safety concerns – you will now have to register to comment
