This is from an article written in October this year but is even more relevant today as Aleppo and its people are destroyed and the Stalino-Assadists ramp up support for ‘their’ war criminals.

Israel did not win. The Palestinian Authority did not win. Hamas did. Palestine did. Gaza’s people did.

Sherry Wolf, a longtime activist for Palestinian freedom and former press officer for the Russell Tribunal on Palestine in 2012, in Socialist Worker US looks at the rise of the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement against Israeli apartheid–and the next steps for the struggle in the face of Israel’s new onslaught on Gaza. Although written for a US audience Sherry’s arguments apply in Australia and elsewhere. Let’s build BDS across the globe to isolate the brutal apartheid state of Israel.

I wrote this in 2010 in response to Jeremy Jones’ attack on me for writing the article ‘The Warsaw Ghetto uprising – it is right to resist’ (an article I republished the other day in light of the invasion of Gaza as A lesson from the Warsaw Ghetto – it is right to resist). This slightly edited repost is still relevant today as the Zionists shout anti-Semite at anyone who opposes the Israeli genocide of Palestinians.

Bravo to the New South Wales Greens. Here is part of a press release Senator Lee Rhiannon and other Greens NSW parliamentarians have released, arguing that there can only be a ceasefire with the end of the blockade of Gaza and the Occupation of the Palestinian Territories. Three weeks since the attack on Gaza began, […]

Ever since I came back from Gaza, I haven’t felt the same, writes Gigi Ibrahim at her Angry Egyptian website. I have been through other traumatic experiences through the revolution, of course nothing like Gaza, but I am even surprised how heart-felt Gaza has hit me. It is like it shattered all my core into little pieces of sadness, not because ‘poor them, people are dying’ feeling, but because I wish we could do more as Egyptians. We are one of the most crucial countries in solving this whole “complicated issue” also known as, the deadly Zionist occupation. After all the path to Jerusalem passes through Cairo, not just symbolically or physically, but politically.

Palestinians living under the brutality of occupation – and now an all-out war in Gaza -have not asked for global ideological approval. Instead, they have asked that we do whatever is in our power to help end their misery and stop the bombings, years-long siege and occupation.
To heed their call for solidarity means defending Palestinians’ right to resist Israel’s terror.
Israel: the Logic of a Settler State

A single Palestine on the basis of secularism, democracy, and socialism would be transformed from a cornerstone of the capitalist-imperialist world order into a cornerstone of an emancipatory one. The prerequisite for this possibility is the defeat of Israel as a Zionist entity, the defeat of its inherent settler logic (and Zionism is historically just one example of settlerist ideology), and thereby the dissolution of its current social formation into one that is not irredeemably anti-emancipatory. There can be no ‘Zionist left’, no ‘liberal Zionism’, and so forth, for such propositions are incompatible with the practical logic of the settler state. The concept of Israel must die so that a Palestine may live for Jews and Arabs, Druze and Bedouin alike.
